Tuesday 1st July: Dressings & Blessings 7:30-9pm GMT
Well dressings and land blessings are a fundamental part of the celebrations of the old folk solar calendar, and a huge part of the folk work we can reclaim in our community!
In this class we harness the sun’s might and the land’s glory to learn the old ways of dressing and blessing that honour our local places of power. From these we learn to create new blessings for the sacred places in and around our field. Using ribbons and plants, chants and incantations, flour and sugar and salt we dress these places with deep respect and love.
In these practices we bring ourselves closer to all the kin we live amongst - seen and unseen, and help to foster harmonious relationships between us and all our neighbours.
Materials Needed:
Sugar and salt, ribbon, plants gathered from your field. A candle. Pen and notebook.
